DEVOTION
Devotion, a new aerial war epic movie based on the bestselling book of the same name, tells the harrowing true story of Thomas Hudner and Jesse Brown, two elite U. S. Navy fighter pilots during the Korean War. Their heroic sacrifices would ultimately make them the Navy’s most celebrated wingmen.

This special movie showing is hosted by Karen Ward, widow of J. L. “Larry” Ward ’74, who passed away in 2012. Karen commissioned U.S.S. Thomas Hudner (DDG-116) in Boston Harbor on December 1, 2018, in honor of Larry’s father’s heroic efforts as the rescuing helicopter pilot in the Thomas Hudner and Jesse Brown story. Karen is the matron of honor of the ship.
